Solution Mind has been on the web for fourteen years and represents my private consultation and psychotherapy practice in Denver, Colorado - Charlie Johnson, L.C.S.W. - a detailed explanation my psychotherapy approach, and a significant amount of information from the book Recrafting a Life, I co-authored with Denny Webster, Ph.D. My goal for this site is to reach far beyond merely talking about myself. Accordingly, there is great deal of information separate from my psychotherapy and consultation practice - including a blog, a regular podcast, therapeutic assignments and exercises that I have developed in over 30 years of practice.
You, however, may be seeking immediate, essential information about psychotherapy, coaching, or consultation. You can find out who I am here, what I do here and how I do it here. These links will inform you of my specialities - chronic pain and illness relief and management along with solutions for depression, anxiety, relationship problems, phobias, and performance / corporate coaching. You'll learn about my solution focused approach, complemented by Ericksonian clinical hypnosis as well as my therapeutic philosophy which I believe is key to successful therapy.
One of the most useful areas is the Tools section. Here you will find a number of exercises, experiments, and solution focused frameworks from our book, the experiences of our clients, and our students.
This will be supplemented by both a blog and podcast. We'll cover issues around pain relief - both psychological and physical, innovative approaches to health and healing, and ways you can best leverage your participation in the healthcare system. You'll find consumer information as well. We'll debunk excessive health claims, explode myths about our own profession - hypnosis, psychotherapy, etc., and present some ideas about how to find the best healthcare solution for your needs. Thanks again for visiting this reworked site. Please use the contact information below to get in touch. Let me know what you think after you have explored the site a bit. Your suggestions are important to me.
